Hurricane Sandy - Important Information

We are NOT serving dinner tonight (Wednesday) but urge you to dine at the Bridgewater Congregational Church which is offering a Baked Ziti dinner tonight from 5:30 - 6:30pm.  And then hang around town and see "our kids" in their Halloween costumes walking around for Trunk and Treat.

We WILL be open our regular hours on Thursday, November 1st from 10:00 to 2:00  and on Friday, November 2 from 10:00 to 4:00.  Poker and Canasta are on the agenda.  Monday, November 5 we will have Flex Appeal 11:00 to 11:45 and then at noon the center will be closed so they can set up for the elections.



Update October 30, 2012 at 12:30PM

The Senior Center is open as an Emergency Shelter. A light supper will be served this evening.
Currently over 500 residents are without power and internet & phone service. The Senior Center has full power service from the generator but the Charter Internet is out.

Crews are out on Closed roads:
Skyline Ridge Rd- Tree down Est completion to open- 2 PM today.
Curtis Rd-               Tree down Est completion to open- 1 PM today.
Second Hill Rd- Tree & Wires down Est completion to open- 5 PM today.

The Senior Center wil be open as of 9:00 a.m. Monday for anyone 
who wants to come BEFORE the storm really hits. Please alert  your 
friends and neighbors who do NOT have e-mail of the availability of 
us being  open as an emergency shelter.

In the event of a long term power outage, the Senior Center, located at 132 Hut Hill Road will be opened as an emergency shelter.  If you need assistance or are unable to get to the senior center on your own, please call Bill Stuart at (home) 860-355-0012 or (cell) 203-788-2122 or you can call your Emergency Management Director, Justin Planz at 203-648-6691
